Pitra Dosha is inferred when the Sun, or the ninth house of dharma and ancestors, is afflicted by Rahu, Ketu or Saturn, often with the Sun–Rahu conjunction as the classic marker. Traditionally read as unsettled ancestral debt, it is associated with obstacles in progeny, family harmony and a recurring sense that gains slip away. It is remedied through ancestral rites rather than gemstones.
How Pitra Dosha shows in a chart
The Sun signifies the father and the paternal line; the 9th house signifies ancestors and fortune. When these are hemmed by the shadow planets, the classical reading is that duties toward forebears were left incomplete. - Nagbali or Narayan Nagbali puja (Trimbakeshwar) is prescribed for strong cases under a qualified priest.
