What is Pradosh Vrat?

Pradosh Vrat falls on the thirteenth lunar day (Trayodashi) of each fortnight, observed for Lord Shiva during the pradosh kaal, the twilight around sunset. Like Ekadashi it occurs twice a lunar month.

The twilight worship of Shiva on Pradosh is held to remove obstacles and grant peace. The weekday it lands on (Som Pradosh on Monday, Shani Pradosh on Saturday) adds its own significance.
